It's been way too long!
I'm gonna write me a happy song.
Something that we can feel.
Something we can all sing along.
For today nothing is wrong.
For years I've had to stay strong. It's been too long I'm tired of all the mumble jumble.
It's hard trying to survive in this concrete jungle.
We all have our time in life when we crumble.
If you are fortunate.
It teaches you to be humble.
So sing me a happy song.
Something to help me heal.
Sing a song that we can feel.
Something we can all sing along.
Let the rain come down and wash away the dirty parts of us.
Dark skies, parting to make way
for the sun to shine in on a new day.
No more clouds of gray.
I've ran out our tears today.
Save your pity for the weak.
They still have a voice just don't know how to speak.
So sing me a happy song
For today there is nothing wrong.
It's been way too long.
Since we have heard a happy song.
