Dear son, today you have turned twenty,
These years have brought happiness plenty
You arrived as a gift from the above,
And gave us a new meaning of love!
When you were infant our joy had no cap,
We used a pillow to keep you in the lap
you were soft & fragile,
And also smart and agile
When a toddler, you used shoe as a toy,
your cuteness gave us bundles of joy!
Once you fell from the bed & we started sleeping on the floor,
You used to get sad whenever we went out of the door
We still remember your first auto ride to school,
With a small bag and water bottle you looked cool
For your education,
We approached the best institutions,
You did well & met our expectations!
Whenever you got unwell,
Life seemed like hell
Thanks almighty,
such events were not many
We wish to see you happy,
hardship it may take any!
As you turn into a fine young man,
Be happy, as much as you can
We are sure you will succeed & do well,
On your birthday, our joy, we cannot tell
As you grow stronger, bigger and wiser,
Meet all challenges of life as a fighter
Never give up, if life takes a down-swing
