THE HARBINGER OF BANE
We were both set for a new beginning
Wrote on the shores of life
Memories we would love to have
Named our seeds before they could sprout_
We portrayed our life on the pamphlet of dreams
Out of the haze!
A creature of beauty emerged
With eyes of sapphire and face of a rising sun
Voice as soft as silk
She sought refuge in my abode
As the days went by
She sneaked her way into my castle
And dominated my will stealthily
Erasing from my mind the one I had
The flakes fell and I saw the light anew
As the mystifying dazzling squaw
Drained from my heart
Like a child leaving its mother's womb
She crawled away
But her venom still eats my flesh
Do I make it right with my first and true love
Or do I have to live a chameleon's life?
