Unhappy, I sit and ponder,
My heart heavy with a weight
In a never ending gate.
My tears flow like a river down my face
That has lost its way back home,
I'm left to suffer alone.
The sky outside is gray and dull,
A reflection of my soul,
I wish for a happier time
To make me feel whole.
the sadness grips me tight,
A constant companion in my plight,
Day and night, it holds me in its sight,
A never ending fight.
