She watched the monumental waves of the turbulent sea-
That ascended so high,
That she felt they would even touch the gibbous moon,
Slowly rising into the dark firmament..
Her silver anklets chimed
As the waves caressed her fair feet .
The soft wind hummed for her-
The song of her childhood..
A propitious phase that became an antiquity now...
She has come to the seas-
Decades after her salad days,
Remembering her rapport with the golden sands,
Her vehement love for her lover- the blue sea..
Her imposing golden sand castles
Aren't extant.
Her esteemed carapace,veiled in the crevice of the large rock,
Lay ruptured beyond recognition.
Her eyes scanned for the balloon seller-
The robust,swarthy man in his forties,
Who kept for her always a balloon,
In a shade of pink..
He wasn't there anymore.
And as twilight emanated,
Pushing the crimson sun into the horizon,
She rose to depart from the place,
Where she'd spent her childhood,
Some two decades back..
She foraged for the lost traces of childhood,
In this favourite place of hers,
Which gave her a receptacle of despondency-
For the childhood couldn't revert...
