he gave little

A beggar sat by the street
He had no feet
He was isolated, a misfit
He needed something to eat
A well off man approached
He saw the beggar and dipped
His hand into his pocket
He threw one shilling to his feet
I wondered,he's so cold
He's rich but gave so little
In my pocket I had coins idle
I passed by and looked
I still cursed the well off man
For being mean
Yet I had just passed by
Without giving anything
To the beggar
