He Left Her A Rose

She regrets ever letting him go,
The gloomiest day of her life it was,
When he came to say goodbye,
To look for luck in the city he was going,
Only to come back to her after three years,
He came with a gift,
A lovely rose flower,
After emotional hugs with tearful glances,
He left her with only the rose flower.
Communication was difficult after he left,
She only could hope he was doing fine,
Everyday she made a special prayer,
Asking God his soul to secure,
So optimistic she was,
A bright future with him she looked up to,
Little did she know then,
That the only memory left of him,
Was the withered rose flower he left her.
Until that fateful day,
His rotten corpse was brought home,
Suicide it was believed to be,
Because of tough issues the world
had mercifully presented him,
He gave up on everything her included,
He left too early was the say,
Until after he was sent underground,
She couldn't believe he was gone,
Though no option was left but to accept,
He only left her a flower, a rose.
