'Heart: Break - Mend - Flow'

I remember when I was in a relationship, it was the best thing to happen to me.
I remember when it was over, stressed as to why it happened to me.
Hard liquor, smoking green leaves wouldn't suffice.
So even though I didn't feel like it, I chose to blow off steam in what I write.
Some of my hair fell off & face broke out.
Sleepless nights, restless day & tears soaked out.
All I could think about was her.
She couldn't be matched no matter how hard I searched.
I got good news for poets going through loss.
Poetry is your employee & you are the boss.
In retrospect, I learned that memory is apart of the ego.
We all get caught up like spider's web, but if you focus long enough, art will relieve you.
Get around people who genuinely has you in your best interest.
If you're all alone, you got all your poems, invest in your interests.
Ego is manifested through memory form.
If you don't let it surface & allow it to run its course, it'll keep you perpetually torn.
What if I told you that better experiences await you?
What if you are a caterpillar turning to a butterfly & the heartbreak is a way to break through?
How can you build yourself up by tearing yourself down?
What if I spoke to you, or someone close to you, gave you a conversation that astounds?
Ego is attached to memory, love it enough to let it go.
Don't make this a hostage situation, infuse the past with your tears & let it flow.
