Heart Grief

Grieved heart, so heavy and forlorn,
Carrying a burden that can't be borne,
Aching with a pain that won't subside,
Longing for the love that once had thrived.
Memories of the past flood the mind,
Of a love that was so sweet and kind,
But now that love is lost and gone,
Leaving the heart to suffer alone.
Tears flow down the cheeks like rain,
Trying to wash away the pain,
But the hurt remains deep within,
A constant ache that won't give in.
The heart is broken, shattered and torn,
Left to wander, lost and forlorn,
Seeking solace in memories gone,
Trying to find a way to carry on.
But in the midst of all the pain,
There is a glimmer of hope, a flicker of flame,
For the memories that bring such sorrow,
Are also a reminder of a brighter tomorrow.
For though the love may be lost and gone,
The memory of it will carry on,
And in that memory, there is still love,
A love that shines bright as the stars above.
So grieved heart, though you may weep,
And in your pain, you may feel so weak,
Remember that love will find a way,
To heal the heart and brighten the day.
