She brought her head down in heartbreak.
Everything she offered, he would take.
There was an never ending to his pain.
He left her crying in the rain.
She ran til her tears would stop falling.
His voice in her head, she heard calling.
He was never there, he never cared.
To leave her this way, was not fair.
He stripped everything she was made of.
Her anguish cries, was not love.
Devastated and powerless, she felt near him.
In a love and war nobody wins.
Crazed from these illusions she sees over and over again in her head.
A lover's quarrel in a red velvety bed.
She wanted him to pull her in his arms and say " I love you."
But these were only in her dreams, a nightmarish lust, between the two.
