Running from the crashing sounds like chandeliers, she kissed the ground, she kissed the sky, she hung the moon, she looked like winter but felt like June, i watched her as she died to bloom, stuck inside the darkest room, she fell like rain all afternoon, i knew just what I had to do, i never even had a clue, she was a bird that never flew, i tried to let her walk away, the more I pushed the more she stayed, giving all we had to give, no comfort in the life we live, we spent all our nights with whiskey and rum, forever chasing the need to be numb, can't feel my face, can't stand up straight, passing out in dinner plates, forgot the code, it's getting late, if i cant make it back home tonight, just know this whole time, you we're right, i finally found that patch of ice, i seen it from a mile away.
