“Heavy Days”
Life feels heavy some days through,
Like endless skies without their blue;
The road is rough beneath my feet,
And rest feels distant, hard to meet.
Some nights are long with silent fears,
Measured slowly out in tears;
Dreams grow quiet, voices small,
As doubt begins to fill it all.
Yet morning finds its way somehow,
Soft light resting on the now;
For even hearts worn thin by strife
Still learn to rise and carry life.
