She stood at the bed side,
staring at her mom with needles,
set to her body on a rescue mission for her life.
In that moment, she couldn't contain
the pictures, flooding her mind.
Her mother is the strongest and energetic person,
she has ever known all her life.
But there she was lying on the bed, powerless and defenceless,
a shadow of the woman she has known, all her life.
Most of the pictures that flooded her mind,
were memories of her childhood,
they were not her best of times.
She was her mom's victim, most of those times,
and her dad was the soldier that hides during battles.
As she continued to stare, pity knocked on her door.
On getting to the door, she became indecisive,
on whether she truly wants that kind of company that moment.
Without getting any response, pity took off.
Out of the blue, compassion showed up, tears accompanied him.
Those little moments, her mom came true and was her hero,
started playing in her face like she was in a cinema.
Brushing off the skyscraper offences she had toward her mom,
she held her hand tightly, as she watched her battle death,
she couldn't bear the sight, she wailed her throat out.
as her mom gave up the ghost in her hands.
