Heroes are born to be kind
And so those that are fictional
But those soldiers and philosophers
Who fought with pen and weapons
They are the real heroes to be so called.
What does it take to be called a hero?
Do you need to jump to the abyss?
Do you need to die for your country?
Do you need to follow orders?
A true hero never hesitates to take the risk
To save their loved ones,
To save their people,
But does their lives matter for them?
Does the poems, battles, and novels
Really resemble who they are?
We lived a great and peaceful life
Because of our heroes
Therefore, let us welcome
Our heroes on our hearts and minds
So that their sacrifices and heroism
Are never spent for nevertheless, nothing.
