Hidden Love
All romantic bonds need not be salacious,
Love need not be loud or ostentatious.
It can grow steadily but slow,
It can be calm, and yet the hearts will know.
It can be hidden in the pages of a book,
Waiting for the two readers to take a look.
It can appear like the moon hidden behind clouds,
Silent and gentle, away from crowds.
It can be like a butterfly still hidden in the cocoon,
Waiting for its moment to bask in the sun and bloom.
It can be the rainbow that’s only seen after rain,
Softly healing hearts that have witnessed pain.
It can find its place in a poet’s lines,
Where every word reflects hearts that intertwine.
Love doesn’t have to be seen, heard or known,
It can bloom even when it stays hidden alone.
