hidden mindfulness

Buried thought, and feelings unshared,
That linger in the space that I have bared.
The gap between what I want to say,
And that which you refuse to hear, this divorce ever plays.
Your silence builds an ever growing wall,
That builds resignation if no one can break the stall.
Like a distant wind and rolling thunder,
Our hearts bide for an answer and wonder.
Behind your stony mask I survey,
Knowing well the many things you won't say.
In me your voice you have found bound,
Emotions are kept in jars where I can't make a sound.
I share my pieces yet you never receive,
The tragedy of never hearing what I perceive.
For the truth I say is painfully heard,
All these words I never told you, trapped in the night, not a word.
