His Death

Nobody had seemed affected by his death
Nobody but me
He wasn't that worthless, was he?
All his hardwork when he was alive
That too, nobody could see
And when he died nobody visited his funeral
For they were busy watching TV and sipping tea
On all those lonely nights nobody had seemed to have heard his plea
Nobody but me
"A friend" He begged
"Someone who could make me feel loved and free"
I had left for his funeral
Carrying with me, to plant near his tombstone, a small tree
If he were still alive
He would be proud of me, wouldn't he?
Nobody would've made a better friend
Nobody but he
