My old friend of years called me
Before his passing. A secret and sacred passage he bestow with me
To his dying breathe I promice to take his words to the valley of death so that his souls shadow of life will reappear.
A sacred cross he has left me
A virtue to be stolen. In the tall grass of his peace a gentle breeze I bless you with his passage
Wear it well and unleash my crosses of yesterday
The essance of the glass Remains
In the fires of the kiln
Indigo glasses shade my visions in this dark passage my momentum I will rise again.
Awaken awaken me
In a vibrant storm shaking and sweating yesterday was cold and grey
Tell me I never was
A moment of once
In your time of love and I held you close but I thought our secrets would stay within you and me.
A walk down a sleepy hallway
No arms to caress you if
You fall just you and yourself
Falling helpless sleepy you are
If you fall I will catch you
Lost we are falling falling back
To where to where we began
Looking back I remember as a young boy me and my school pals would wander through the hills we knew we didn't belong but yet for us it was the thought that we couldnt stop ourselves that is what made it exciting.
It feels like yesterday that we did that exchange of our blood and that bounded us kids as kin for life
It was a forest on route to school we were always told and our mothers would yell
Ole joe is the death
Of little brats like you
One of us eould yell go away you ole whore and laugh and be on my way with kid sister and pals we would run into the forest
Now ole joe
Was a river soldier who lost
His soul in the wars of life
He had chosen to fight
Not a loser an old man
Shivers in the forest
By the rivers edge
No one cares about
A river hobo
And some wish
He never new any better than
What he has What he has
Through his eyes he shares his journey with us
huddled by the campfire
Along the rivers edge.
