Sometimes, you can hear their cries.
Along the wooded area, near the trees outside.
They are not even noticed, as people walk on by.
They are so small, the bushes can cover them and no one will recognize them.
Unnoticeable, once again.
Wild animals sit on top of their heads,
Thinking of them as a rock or tree stump.
All that stands there is a two headed lump.
Their fears are someone stepping on them, they have been there to long.
If only they can get strong.
With their long wirely arms, and thin fingers, they decided to work together.
If they can drag themselves into the open air, they maybe noticed by someone.
So there long day has begun.
Finally after days of dragging themselves to the road side.
Cars were zooming by fast, thank God the sidewalks were wide.
A family.of four were on a nature walk,
If only this duo can talk.
A child of only.seven years of age, picked it up and cradled them in his arms.
He was amazed at what he had found, and kept them away from harm.
He brought them home,
Now they will never be alone.
He placed them on his shelf, still wondering what they are.
Right beside them was his favorite car.
Now hopefully his parents never notice them.
The little boy went outside to collect bugs, for them to eat, unnoticed once again.
The parents thought they were just a ball.
The only problem was, his room.started to smell, so they were thrown out into the hall.
The little boy realized where the smell was coming from.
So he grabbed a rag, and started to wash them down, that's how there friendship begun.
He was able to keep them as long as he took care of them, like having a pet at home.
At least they were not alone.
Everyday he went bug collecting, and then before bed he washed them clean.
They were admired from a far, as long as they were not seen.
They bonded, forever
A friendship lasting forever.
