Climbing out of
this splintered box
filled with precast
delusions and reflections
of a dog-eared past
I find shadows
Shadows on the other
side where thoughts of
you dont die, sweetened
with honey from daydreams
Where the maundering
wind cradles the rain
dew resembling gold dust and emeralds beneath
my feet
You cleanse me with
clear water and pomegranate suckling quince off.my
brown skin
Flowers in the face of loveliness lift their heads
to the colors of sepia removing restless habit hidden beneath fear
Blurred warm colors
cast a blameless glance laying me down where
the shadow of a tree
meets the water
The shadow side of tomorrow where thoughts
of you are sweetened
by honey from
daydreams
