By light of the moon,
or by the suns bright rays,
we honor the goddess and all her ways!
We remember when she was once revered,
Then she became something that men feared!
In the name of power and control,
They slandered her!
They cursed her!
They tried to destroy her!
But she has lived on in many forms,
to guide those who seek her through the storms.
It takes more than fire to kill her!
It takes more than steel,
It even takes more than the madness of the turning of the wheel!
The more you try to kill her the harder she fights,
She implores her children to fight for their rights,
She urges us to stand on her truth,
whether we are old or in youth.
Freya, Morrigan, Athena, Brigid, Hera. Many are the names,
And today their truth burns in bright flames!
