“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12 NIV. What this scripture means to me is to always respect our parents no matter what. Our parents were the ones who brought us into this earth. If it was not for our parents, we would not be here today. We may disagree with our parents from time to time, but we must obey and respect them as our parents. If we do not honor and obey our parents, we are not obeying the Lord. If we are disrespecting our parents, cursing and fighting with them, we are disrespecting the Lord. If we honor and respect our parents, our days will be strengthened. Our parents are the most important beings in our lives. We shall always remember that and use this scripture with wisdom. By Ciara Webb
