HOPE

Hope is a phoenix
Not the golden wings,
But the ashes and bruises,
Rising from the fire,
Breathing through the pain.

Hope doesn’t shine.
It doesn’t wear crowns,
Doesn’t sing songs of victory,
It’s the last light in a crumbling house,
Flickering but refusing to die.

It shows up when you’ve given up praying,
When your dreams turn to dust,
And your chest is heavy with doubt,
Filled with “what if” and “not enough.”

Hope doesn’t heal you.
It dares you.
To rise with a cracked heart,
To walk through the wreckage
you thought would break you apart.

It’s the swollen eyes,
The silent nights,
But still you yell,
“I’ll try again tomorrow and fight.”

Hope is survival without a cheer,
It’s you choosing not to disappear,
When vanishing feels like the easier way out.

And that’s the truth
you don’t need to win the fight today,
just survive the storm and find your way.
Because the real strength isn’t in the fight,
it’s in standing tall through endless nights,
when everything tells you to let go,
but you choose to stay,
even when you don’t know
if you're going to make through the day.
