Hopes in distress

Amid the honking cars, shopping, work and binge watching on weekend,
Little did we know when we would be bound in the comfort of our own home, we would feel that the world's about to end.
It brings our perspective, daily routine and the mundane to a halt,
For better or worse, we are being given a chance to break the chain of a chosen default.
The anxiety, fear and grief prevails among many,
Its evident that nature doesnt discriminate the rich or those without a penny.
Many privileged struggle for being productive and active and many other struggle for arranging even a meal,
Social distancing and staying safe or the struggle of the poor to even reach home, fear has brought down everyone's zeal.
People hoarding up on things all at once isn't justified and won't make this panic recede,
Since it will always be enough for everyone's need but never for someone's greed.
Rumours are spread, while the disease spreads like wild fire and chaos is made,
Keeping us and our loved ones safe seems to be the only chance to a better fate.
Struggling for mind's judgement on who is at fault and who is accountable,
While everyone struggles to keep their physical and mental health stable.
May be we need to change our outlook for future before things like these are more revealed,
Its no miracle to understand that with no human intervention, the mother earth is being healed.
We need to introspect in this difficult time and try to bring small changes for a better world on our own,
How we can become heroes of our own saga by not doing anything and staying at home to fight an invisible enemy, needs to be shown.
If we stay safe, sane and together in it, this pandemic won't take much longer,
We will come out of it soon enough, much better and stronger
