One has to wonder if humans are as smart as they think they are.
Are these humans actually rational?
When you speak to one,
you get this sense that if their name wasn't metaphorically stapled in their brain,
they would have no clue what to say,
when you simply ask.
"What's your name?"
Such a simply question,
one would think pondering on such a question,
would never commence within these thinking beings.
I sometimes think,
is there no stage beyond child?
Although,
the body slightly changes,
the mind,
the emotions displayed,
the ways in which these humans engage,
change little if at all.
As, one looks at their life,
they can plainly see,
perceivably grown individuals,
act in strange ways.
Screaming and throwing tantrums in public,
as if they knew not their age.
How are we to comprehend these beings?
Are some grown,
and others not?
Is it about maturity?
I am not the arbiter,
of such discourse.
I am simply an observer.
One curious about the nature,
of these seemingly simply beings.
One in which I also,
happen to be.
