How We've Lived and What We Show

In the blink of an eye, life is fleeting,
Yet we fail to grasp each precious meeting.
With each breath, moments slip away,
As we chase tomorrow, endless delays.
There's no guarantee of another sunrise,
Yet we postpone joy with pointless ties.
True living lies dormant in our soul,
Yet we drown in worries that take their toll.
Our days, like grains of sand, swiftly fall,
While we wonder if we've lived at all.
Death, a reminder, whispers its decree,
To embrace this life, set your spirit free.
Embrace the laughter, the love, the pain,
For it's in these moments our lives regain.
So let us shed the fear and the strife,
And truly live the moments of this life.
For when darkness comes, and it surely will,
May we find solace in moments lived with skill.
For in the end, it matters not how we go,
But how we've lived, and what we show.
