A fresh picked strawberry
Truly needs sugar not
Serve it on a fresh
Short cake cold or hot,
Add some whip topping
Maybe a Maraschino cherry
As a sweet dessert
Twill bring a smile to the weary,
Strawberry, strawberry
How I love thee
Your bright red colour
Makes my tummy say yummy,
I can use you in salads
Maybe in a rhubarb pie
In jam you're slamming
Such sweet treats, oh my,
Have I made your heart sing
Maybe joyful or merry?
