Hunger

You're the bane of poor existences
The mortal companion of the pauper.
With force unbearable you strike,
Vipers venom unleash,
Sinking through the fabrics of clothing,
Laying bare impecuniousness,
Touching to behold.
Call the magician, am in a maze
For you're the drive of successful existences
Like a stellar larcenist,
In the heart of the night,
Pinching slumber away from resolution,
And watch must your victims keep
To journey with you through the land of dreams
In forever union with determination
Laziness enslaved never to know freedom again
And success born from expectant ambitions.
