Hurdles

Like roadblocks they are set
Like ice blocks they will melt
While they tend to stop us from joy
They are challenges that hold the key
Once crossed the way is cleared
Some are people we love and care for
They do not stop with 'you can't do it'
They make the dream look so hard
Some are the feeling of uselessness
The feeling stops you from moving
Instead of running you relax because
You think you cannot do it
Some are the leaders being followed
They do not set the best examples
They may not lead to the dreamland
They only hope for current result
Some are the environments of "don't"
Being led by superstition they stop
They make the dream look impossible
They say they cannot help you
They remind you of your woes
They are dream killers with smiles
The roadblocks must be dismantled
They must be jumped off
The joy of success comes after work
Self determination is core to dream
Sometimes deaf ear to rumours help
Keeping it real makes life beautiful
With time and hard work it will come
Keep the hustle going.
