In the deep of the night
I hear strange whispers in my ears
Chilling me to the bones
I try to hush them but they never leave
They keep on coming back
Haunting me in my deep slumber
Waking up my senses
Luring me into the deep abyss of nightmares.
I screamed yet it came out as terrified whimpers
No one can hear me,no one can save me
I begged them to stop and leave me alone.
Then,there was eerie silence
The whispers are finally gone
I checked under my bed
To see what's lurking there
Horror engulfed my being
When it dawned on me
That the monsters are not under my bed
But they are inside me.
