hypocrisy

How selfish of me,
I ought to think
Of those that don't even have clean water to drink.
I think my life is so hard
Because I let down my guard,
When there are those who are constantly on guard for their very lives.
I ought not to feel so sorry for myself
While somewhere a mother doesn't know if she'll be able to feed herself,
Let alone her newborn babe.
I'm sorry world for being so foolish,
For not letting Jesus take my loaves and fish,
To multiply it, to share it with the hungry, while I sit here and eat my fill.
My hypocrisy sickens me,
I don't know why I thought it possible to do nothing
Yet still do God's will.
