I am a shadow that forgets its name,
‎A hollow echo swallowed by the walls.
‎Each breath is ash, each heartbeat a question
‎That dies before it can be asked.
‎The sickness coils around me like a serpent,
‎Squeezing the marrow from my bones,
‎Till I am nothing but a whisper
‎Of what once might have been.
‎I reach for the light,
‎But my fingers pass through it
‎As though the world itself has begun
‎To unlearn my shape.
‎Time drips like black honey,
‎Thick and slow,
‎Smothering me in quiet despair—
‎I fade,
‎I fray,
‎I dissolve
‎Into the void of forgotten things.
‎Even memory resists me now;
‎I am slipping past the edges of myself,
‎slipping away from humanity.
