I am a shadow that forgets its name,
A hollow echo swallowed by the walls.
Each breath is ash, each heartbeat a question
That dies before it can be asked.
The sickness coils around me like a serpent,
Squeezing the marrow from my bones,
Till I am nothing but a whisper
Of what once might have been.
I reach for the light,
But my fingers pass through it
As though the world itself has begun
To unlearn my shape.
Time drips like black honey,
Thick and slow,
Smothering me in quiet despair—
I fade,
I fray,
I dissolve
Into the void of forgotten things.
Even memory resists me now;
I am slipping past the edges of myself,
slipping away from humanity.
