I am a slave
My deen is my mission
A muslimah my vision
Which keeps me going though the temptation
So high
Even greater than the force of tension
A slave to my creator
An advocate to his creatures
The Qur'an our guidance
Through which the pious of righteous men are guided
I am a slave
Not to any mankind but the most high
The benevolent the merciful
The best of all judge
The source of my inner and outer peace
The provider of all sustenance I enjoy
Shine and rise each day
So if I was asked about my profession and my identity
I would say
I am the slave servant of my lord
I am a slave
Not to any mankind
But the lord of the world.
