One day I was lucky to run into a lady
That was nice and beautiful and was not shady
She was smart and classy
Had a gorgeous smile and was a bit sassy
She was at the top of her game and in a groove
She was in total control of her every move
She was what every mans dreamed about
She set the standards but knew how to act like a lady and never cried or pretended to pout
She said these days a lady standards must be high
When I go out on a date you cant be short fat or shy
I will not go out with a man with no charm or a man that is not on time or a man who cant dance
If you stoop or slouch or even hunch you have no chance
I wont go out with a man that smells acts like a clown and yells or if you have once lived in a cell
I need to be wined and dined
And you have to be very kind
I wont go out with you in the rain on a train or if you are a man with no brain
You need to be a gentleman and open my doors
Not be cheap tip the man at the door
Then not be lazy do all your shores
Even if your rich that does not impress or set my fire
I wont go out with you if you are a snob a cheat or a liar
Hell my mama told me
Never give it away for free
If your broke a loser or a crook
you wont be catching this fish with no hook
So what do you look for in a date
That my friend is not open for debate
She then smiled at me
Every women has there own standards you see
As for me it is for me alone to know that recipe
I wont ever say what attracts my eyes maybe fate
But when some one asks me out on a date
He better be dressed nice
Be able to pour me a drink with ice
God help him if he is late
He will be courteous and understand that he has to wait
For me to Finish dressing for out date
Because my daddy taught me
That you catch more flies with honey
Than with money
Which has made me a strong willed successful confident women who likes to keep some secrets to herself then she laughed now that’s funny
