Because I know where I came from,
No need to change my lifestyle
To compete with you.
The lifestyle taught me
To be me,
Accept myself,
Appreciate the little I got
And give thanks each day to the Lord.
Happy memories came with it,
Hard work was a must,
It has always been in our DNA!
It hardened me to date
No doubt,
So little achievements call for celebration.
So,
I compete with me, my past...
Don't accept me if you can't vibe with me,
If my indifference makes you feel awkward
Then just leave because,
I can't pretend to be you,
