"Before you win, you got to take a thousand Losses,
The breakthrough is going to be so satisfying but I just got to keep praying to those Crosses,
Hard to feel anything when you're use to feeling numb Inside,
I'll always be the bigger man as my maturity will always overtake my Pride,
Because I'm always looking ahead and focusing on the agenda of what's Next,
I want the community behind me but it can get lonely when I'm the only one of having hopes of reaching the Apex,
Having thoughts of my dad and remembering the same message he'll write me in every Letter,
Telling me "Son, be the total opposite of me and please do way Better",
That message has and will never leave the spinning cycle of my Brain,
As I know for sure when I have my own son, he'll never have to feel the same Pain,
That I had to feel consistently because of my dad's unfortunate Choices,
I'm the silent type, but I let my poetry speak up for me so I can let out all of my different Voices,
And tones that are bundled up in my Interior,
When I get out these many different forms and styles, that's when I truly feel Superior,
26 years old, but with all of the struggles I've been through I feel like a Vet,
Fighting through my many battles of war and living to tell the story, but remembering the journey of how I got here and thinking to myself how I can never Forget ..."
