I can't afford to lose me again,
For in that darkness, there's only pain.
I lost myself once, to fear and doubt,
And in that chaos, I was left without.
I wandered aimlessly, through the night,
Lost in the darkness, without a light.
My heart was heavy, my spirit weak,
And every step, was harder to take.
But in the stillness, I heard a voice,
A whisper of hope, that gave me a choice.
To stand up tall, and to find my way,
And to be myself, without delay.
So I embraced, the person within,
And found the strength, to start again.
I took each step, with a steady grace,
And with each breath, I found my place.
Now I can't afford, to lose me again,
For I know my worth, and my heart's refrain.
I am who I am, and that's just fine,
For in my essence, there's a love divine.
So I'll stand tall, and face each day,
With a heart that's open, and a spirit that's brave.
For I can't afford, to lose me again,
And with that knowledge, I'll always win.
