i am at this funeral parlor again
Not the way it has to be
walking in i think it is somebody else
i am waiting for you to hug me
but your not coming because the funeral is about you
people know i can't make tears because my eyes are dry
Everyone came out to see you
All your nieces and nephews are there to
in my mind i was still in denial
the person i saw in that bed was not you.
That you did not die from natural causes
i wish God would allow more time with you to make up what i did to you
At least at your deathbed that you forgave me
it was my turn to speak about you
my cousins were behind me
i was still in denial
i wanted to close my eyes and hope it was a dream
I remember when you were alive how we used to talk and have fun
reality sets it and i look at you
i kiss you before i did anything
That kiss on your cheek brought memories to my eyes.
it cause me not to speak
once i actually did and told my heart felt poem that it melted thier hearts
you been my fan of my poems
after you were gone i put the nail into the coffin burying my poems with you
everyone at the parlor were shock and happy that i spread my mother's love from the poem. After you were bury i visited your grave. i love u mom!
