Today was pretty much like every other day
Except that someone said something they didn't have to say
Today my quietness was taken for granted
But then again, it's not like I have ever reacted
Today I chose to bottle up the anger and bitterness
And look at life through lens of pretence calmness
Today I thought what if I had reacted the first time
Perhaps I wouldn't be feeling like I swallowed a slice of lime
Today I decided within me to stand my ground
And never let anyone drag my feelings around
