I close my eyes and drift away
Hoping to find a place of rest
I visualize a brighter day
Where I won't face another test
I feel the sun upon my skin
Kissing the pain away
I feel the joy grows within
And deep inside I hope it'll stay
Coz lately all I feel is hurt
Piercing through my heart
And I stopped counting tears
Flowing through the years
I close my eyes and then I sigh
To exhale what can't be seen
And as the hope within me dies
The world comes undone
