I don't want to take the chance,

I dont want to be currupt,
If I go down that path,
If I break and let you in,
If I don't have what you need,
If I dont will I be forgotten again,
I do want to know you,
I do want to give you the chance,
I do worry because I know,
I do the same old song and dance,
I wish it didn't bother me,
I wish I didn't have hesitation,
I wish I could give myself to you,
I wish to share my compassion,
I don't want it to end up in vain,
If I let you in how much of me will remain,
I do want you to know because my past,
I wish I didn't have to carry this pain,
I don't want to try and love again,
If I know exactly how it will feel,
i do feel myself start to give up,
I wish just once I knew that is was real,
I don't think that day will never come,
If Ili did I wouldn't be stuck in my head,,
I do hope for a better chance at love,
I wish all this pain was just love instead.
