I Don't Really Want To Be Here

In the depths of night or midst of day,
I find myself lost in a world so gray.
A feeling so heavy, I can hardly bear,
This is a place where I don't want to be, I swear.
The faces around me, the voices so loud,
They all meld together in an indistinguishable shroud.
I don't really want to be here, in this crowd,
Where uncertainty reigns and reality seems so proud.
The weight on my shoulders, the ache in my heart,
Makes it hard to distinguish where to start.
In this space where I don't belong,
I search for a place where I can be strong.
Amidst the chaos, I yearn for peace,
A fleeting moment that offers release.
I don't really want to be here, I implore,
For I seek solace, a chance to explore.
But in the midst of it all, a glimmer of hope,
A beacon that helps me to quietly cope.
I may not want to be here, that much is true,
But I find strength to see it through.
For within me lies a fire so bright,
A spark that illuminates the darkest night.
So despite not wanting to be in this space,
I rise above with grace and embrace.
In this world where I don't want to stay,
I carve a path to a brighter day.
I don't really want to be here, that's clear,
But I find the will to persevere.
So to all who feel lost in a world so unclear,
Know you're not alone, and help is near.
In places where we don't want to be,
We find the strength to set ourselves free.
For in the end, it's not about where we are,
But the resilience that takes us far.
I don't really want to be here, I confess,
But I choose to rise above and progress.
So in this world of uncertainty and fear,
We hold onto hope and persevere.
For even when we don't want to be here,
We still find the courage to steer.
In the end, it's the journey that we steer,
Even when we don't want to be here.
I hope you find this poem meaningful.
