I froze!
Yes I did.
I froze!
I just stood there like a boulder,
As the monster stole from me.
I stood there and did nothing,
When the engine started running
and he sped down the street.
I stood there baffled as he hit my friend,
and sent her to eternal sleep.
I froze!
I should have done something
but instead, I froze.
I should have been there when
she needed me,
I should have been a better friend,
but, I froze,
And now it's my fault.
I will feed on my own guilt for
every meal of the day.
I don't have a choice but to
journey in this world of,-
g u i l t.
All because I froze.
