O

i I want to go back home

As I lay here, in this bed so cold,
My heart aches for the love that I used to hold.
The people here, they do not see,
The tears that fall so silently.
I try to be strong, I try to be brave,
But this life without you is like living in a cave.
I am afraid of the darkness that surrounds me,
And the pain that seems to never set me free.
In this home, there's freedom everywhere,
But the walls still trap me in a constant scare.
I know I should be grateful for what I have,
But it's hard to be happy without you to share.
I long to come back home, to your warm embrace,
And feel the comfort that can only come from your loving face.
The people here, they see me but they don't truly know,
The emptiness inside that I just can't seem to let go.
I need you here, to hold me in your lap,
And to remind me that life is worth living, in spite of the trap.
I know I may have grown, but I still cry in my sheets,
Yearning for a love that feels so out of reach.
I want to escape from this facade I've been playing,
And be with you, in a place where love is never fading.
So please, mom, hear my silent plea,
Take me away from here, and set me free.
