I remember my fears from my past
I remember the day I called last
I remember my life looking like I was the only cast
I remember those days neither being slow or fast
I remember my pains always being vast
I remember seeing my future fading with a blast.
I remember the place I once called home
I remember imagining the little gnome
I remember my mother's favorite comb
I remember when my sister coughed out foam
I remember my father building what he calls a dome
I remember their dreams to travel to Rome.
I remember the day that I cried
I remember the day they had died
I remember the tomb where my family had lied
I remember freeing their bodies but they were dried
I remember when we were all having a ride
I remember them telling me with pride.
I remember them telling me not to remember
But yet, I still remember
Because I'll always be their family member,
Even if death doesn't remember.
