I Remember You

Somewhere in my dreams,
In blurry pictures and ancient paintings,
Across the seas and down the roads,
In hidden drawings and dawley songs,
In the sound of soft violin and grand theatre's,
In forgotten rooms and forgotten notes,
Scattered memories litter the floor,
Little glimpses of where you are
A thousand years,
Or maybe a few months
I see seven small freckles—
Sitting like stars
In every painting of a lost woman standing,
In every unknown drawing of a lady sleeping,
In every photo of a blurry face,
In every corner of my mind,
Seven little freckles take place
It doesn't matter the age of either song,
Poem,
Or painting
A timeless girl with a timeless face
Three hundred years or more—
I still can't escape
No matter how forgotten,
Those blurry lines,
A myth to a memory,
A face unidentified,
I remember you
