Right after here,
for you,
I shall write a song.
I will not forget!
Because the pen and a book are already
here in my bag.
All very new,
because am from the stationary.
Don't worry about where am to get the
words,
our yesterdays have all that I need.
So that I can fill a volume with stanzas and
lines.
You would instead worry about the skills to
make it,
but at Central College Mityana,
Madam Benerdate Kisakye and her team
mates gave me enough.
I shall write a song!
Though not the best,
but one that shall be amongst them.
A song!
Hot enough,
to get you mad with joy and happiness.
Sweet enough,
to pull even the neighbours' attention,
when it will be playing in our Cassette.
And detailed enough,
to make sure that all our sweet and painful
moments are embodied in it.
I shall write it down,
before tomorrow sets in,
So that I can finish up in time.
Even if it goes up to midnight,
I shall write.
Because I must!
I shall write a song!
The one I shall take to Daddy Andrey,
so that he can direct it.
The one I shall take to T.Paul,
so that he can give it the value of his
soothing voice.
The one I shall take to Shasha Vibes,
so that he can release it as a hit.
A hit enough,
to never miss in Kachayina's TV show
'Omuneneserezo.'
The kind of song,
That shall tell our children all the facts,
Of how compassionate you are!
During our courtship,
Of how you used to make me addicted to
visiting your home place.
Morning and evening,
even if I was just with the thirst of your
voice.
For all the time we have spent together,
Of how I have read and written poems,
Of how I have read and written stories,
Of how I have read and written all the books and
not gotten satisfaction,
All in the pursue of explaining the magic
behind this love we hold.
