I try to avoid her every day,
For my heart cannot bear the way
She only wants me as a friend of benefit,
And not as a lover, not even a bit.
She flirts with me and leads me on,
But when I ask her out, she quickly moves on.
She wants the pleasure without the pain,
But my heartache only continues to remain.
I know I should walk away and never look back,
But her seductive ways always keep me on track.
I try to resist her, to hold onto my pride,
But her pull on me cannot be denied.
So I struggle each day with this internal fight,
To give in to her or to do what's right.
But in the end, I know what must be done,
To let her go and finally move on.
For I deserve someone who wants all of me,
Not just my body but my heart, too, you see.
So goodbye to her, and hello to my chance,
To find true love and a real romance.
