I used to be so happy,
So full of all this love.
So beautiful and new,
Like the whitest of doves.
I used to laugh so loud,
Laughter filled the air.
I used to love so big,
I'd hold on like a bear.
I used to smile so large,
You'd see all my wrinkles.
Used to get dolled up,
So my face would twinkle.
I used to hold onto you,
Hold onto your arms.
I used to kiss those lips,
Enamoured in your charm.
My heart used to flutter,
With every sight of you.
My body used to shutter,
Just because it was you.
Every time I hear you,
My heart used to melt.
Distancing yourself,
The coldest I've ever felt.
