'I was so fooled today' said my stomach
By no other trickster than Garri himself
Although, I wanted to embark on a journey
To Jollof rice, as sweet as it sounds
For a bag-packing or caravan trip
Then the traveling agency suggested noodles
As an easier trip, the great divide won't be easy
To cross to get to my choice destination.
How come?! I ask, that the easier trip is more expensive
To book and board than my simple yet difficult journey
And tonight as the new day draws near
Garri came knocking, and saying:
I could be your detour to your destination
Try me and you will be able to endure the divide
I trusted him only to realise that I was fooled
Now I can't continue on my sweet journey.
Indeed I was really fooled!
